California Film Awards Declares 'Filling In' as Best Television Pilot
The San Diego-based California Film Awards declared last night our comedy-fantasy short as the Grand Winner of the Best Television Pilot award. We're so very honored that the CFA recognized that Filling In serves as a 22 minute proof-of-concept for a pilot to a comedy series for television. As the pilot reaches its conclusion, a twist is revealed making it clear that there are a myriad of comedic directions that subsequent episodes of Filling In (the series) could lead to.
According to their website, "The California Film Awards recognizes and celebrates important world cinema that represents the forefront of aesthetic, critical and entertainment standards in contemporary independent filmmaking and screenwriting, honoring new and cutting-edge American and foreign independent films in several competition categories. Partnering with notable film industry companies, film educators, directors, producers, and writers, the California Film Awards provides a forum for talented filmmakers to be recognized for their work, creativity, and achievements."
