North American Film Awards Selects 'Filling In' as a Winner for Best Comedy

Representing the USA and Canada, the North American Film Awards declared our comedy-fantasy short, Filling In and the soon-to-be-released, feature-length comedy, Smothered By Mothers as tied for their award for Best Comedy of 2017. As described on the website for the North American Film Awards, "With an industry professional jury from the USA and Canada, NAFA aims to discover, recognize and celebrate the very best filmmaking talent and rising stars of our generation. Our special annual event ensures filmmakers receive the acknowledgment they deserve."

Along with the award for Best Comedy, Filling In was also nominated by NAFA in six additional categories : Best North American Film, Best Director (Bradley Hawkins), Best Actor (Jared Odrick), Best Writing (Peter Fenton and Bradley Hawkins) Best Editing (Ryan Geesaman) and Best Music Score (Jim Casella).
