'Filling In' Returns to Maryland for the Utopia Film Festival
The Utopia Film Festival in Greenbelt, Maryland has declared Filling In as an official selection of their 13th annual film festival in Greenbelt, Maryland. The comedy-fantasy short visited Maryland earlier this month as an official selection at a film fest in Cumberland, MD, and will now be screened at the Utopia Film Festival in Greenbelt (near Washington D.C.) on Oct. 14-15, 2017.
According to the Utopia Film Festival website, "Greenbelt was one of America’s first planned communities, a New Deal city built by the Roosevelt administration in the 1930’s." Now in its 13th year, the Utopia Film Festival "takes its name from the idealistic origins of Greenbelt, described by First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt as 'the first garden community in the land planned for the uplift and unfolding of the human spirit.'”
Filling In is one of just a handful of films that can be seen on either day of the two-day film festival with its screening times and locations being at 4:00 PM at the Historic Greenbelt Theatre on Saturday, Oct 14, and then at the Greenbelt Arts Center at 4 PM on Sunday, Oct. 15.
