Former NFL football player, JARED ODRICK, stars in Filling In in his first leading role as "Kevin," a gentle giant of a man, down on his luck, who considers taking on a risky and covert career. Odrick has won several awards as an executive producer on the comedy short, Roller Coaster and serves in that same capacity on Filling In as well. As a high school student, Odrick was not only on the Lebanon HS Cedars football team, but was also a student in Filling In director, Bradley Hawkins' Film as Art and Humanities classes at the high school. Once Odrick got wind of his former teacher's new endeavor as a film director, the NFL pro football player decided to climb aboard Roller Coaster as an executive producer to lend his support as yet another means of giving back to his hometown of Lebanon, PA, and those who helped guide him during his youth. Odrick can also be seen on HBO's series, Ballers in cameo roles as himself in multiple episodes, as well as in a supporting role in the feature film Jade.
ALEX PIRES is a New York actor with twenty-plus stage productions, multiple short films, feature films, web series, and commercials on his resume. Among his most recent work are roles in the feature film THE TOMORROW PARADOX , and lead roles in the short films TEXTURE, and LOST IN LOVE: QUEST FOR SILVER LININGS which he directed as well. Pires also had a recurring role in 24 episodes of the successful web series FAMILY PROBLEMS. Among his top acting influences include Jim Carrey, Will Smith, and Tony Shaloub. In FILLING IN, Pires plays "Patrick" the lovable assistant to an over-bearing, impossible to please CEO of an agency with a long legacy.
KARL HOLTZ has won several awards as Executive Producer for ROLLER COASTER (along with Odrick) and is back working with Bradley Hawkins in the co-starring role of "Mike" a late middle-aged man looking forward to retiring from his under-appreciated and physically demanding profession. Holtz founded the alternative rock band Crimson Ivy, which toured throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond from '86-'96. Through his company, Sonic Voice Productions, Holtz produced several benefit concerts generating generous funding for non-profit organizations such as The Aris Project, The Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition, and The George Mark House. In the late '90's, Holtz lived in Seattle and worked on the set of the TV version of THE FUGITIVE. Today he continues to perform and records with Crimson Ivy,enjoys photography and all forms of cinematics. Now retired in upstate New York, Holtz is enjoying this pursuit of a new career in the entertainment industry with his role in FILLING IN as a launching pad to what may lie ahead for him as an actor.
KATE ATRONIC SOANES
Kate Atronic Soanes lives in Rochester, NY, where she's the real-life big boss of her Painting with a Twist studio! She's also a devoted wife, loving mother, and hardcore roller derby skater, as one of the founding team members of the Roc City Roller Derby. Soanes is playing her debut role as an actress in Filling In as "Ms.MicGinny," a hard as nails CEO and owner of her own family business with a long and successful legacy behind it.
"JACK, The Bartender"
Tomo Lovrić, best known for his portrayals of Bardofsky in the romantic comedy Apocalypse Mambo, and Don in the sci-fi short 13 Clones, plays the role of Jack the bartender in Filling In. Lovrić lives in Bergenfield, New Jersey and is currently working in post production on his short comedy, The Big Time, which he wrote, produced, and directed. A former product development R&D scientist, he has been involved with community theater for years. He is now a full time actor and director, who is part of the Barrow Group and UCB student body.
"THE STARTLED LITTLE GIRL"
Introducing 8 y/o Kali Leathersich from Henrietta, NY as the "Startled Little Girl."Kali is in the third grade and participates in soccer and cheerleading, as well as takes competition dance classes at Star Struck Studio in Fairport, New York. Kali’s previous acting experience includes playing the imaginary child of Audrey and Seymour in the Geva Theatre Center production of "Little Shop of Horrors", one of the dogs in "Disney’s Aristocats" for the ADIOS Music Theatre Camp, and a villager in "Stone Soup" in the second grade musical at her school. Her role as "The Startled Little Girl" in Filling In marks Kali’s on-screen acting debut.
Logan Holtz portrays the daughter of Mike in Filling In and is also the real life daughter to Karl Holtz. Logan is an active member of a local dance studio of 5 years studying the styles off jazz, ballet, musical theater, hip hop and lyrical. Holtz enjoys playing both guitar and piano. When time allows, Holtz stays active drawing, watching movies, swimming and playing volleyball.
Introducing 12 yr-old Maggie Janvrin as Miss Moremaunt, a feisty child prodigy in a hilariously funny scene in Filling In! Maggie lives in Leola, PA with her parents and her three siblings, enjoys gymnastics, loves animals, and serving at her church by helping out with the childcare for the two-year-olds. She performed in the school plays at Brownstown Elementary School from 4th-6th grade, including playing Gretel in "Hansel and Gretel" and is now a 7th grader at Conestoga Valley Middle School. Her role as Miss Moremaunt marks Maggie's on-screen debut.
